Bob to Fran

January 7, 1964

The letter, transcribed

1/7/64 Dear Fran, I hope this letter gets to you before you leave Paris. They say 4 days for an air mail so it should get in right under the wire. Tom brought back the Polaroid he got for Christmas and I thought you might appreciate this picture. Are my eyes always half shut like that? Not much has happened since I last wrote you except that I got my car fixed, and got in two days of skiing. We got back here about 11:30 Sun. night and I've been getting back in the study rut to get ready for exams which start on the 23rd. Most of the time I just sit around and miss you which isn't much fun but it is true. I hope you had a smooth trip and killed all that Scotch. Took Ski Gammon to Eddie's Sat night and got pretty high while playing it in the back room. I love you, Fran. Please write soon and tell me all about it. (Your trip, that is.) Love, Bob
