The letter, transcribed

Feb. 10, 1958 Dear Fran, Well we finally moved. I am fairly well settled in everything. The new school is beautiful. It is one block long and has an auditorium, gym with 3 basketball courts and a Little Theater. I take all the courses I did in York exept General Science. At our parties we just dance, raise a ruckus and go out side after curfew and a few other necessary things to liven it up. If you want to keep things interesting try inventing a new dance step. I have a real cool one. The picture didn't come out right so I am afraid you will have to wait for a while. The flash bulb caused a glare on the fireplace screen. I have 3 sisters and a dog. The sisters are all little brats. I can't say that you can't write Bill Zech so I guess I don't mind Too Much! Did your snow ever melt? It has been between -4° and +12° for the past 4 days and we have 8 to 12 inches of the crummiest snow you ever saw. How do you like French. I hate Latin and in 2 more years I will either take Spanish or French. The population of Whitefish Bay is about 20,000. Whitefish Bay is a suburb of Milwaukee with its own Post Office, police dept. & fire dept. and shopping district. It is real neat. What is Geri's cousins name? Tell Geri to tell her cousin to look me up. My phone number is WO. 2-8631. I will probably see Tony this summer. He hopes to come here and I hope to go up there also. When my Civics teach found your letter it was a riot. She gave me a lecture on _ _ _ and how boys and girls shouldn't do such "silly things." Yesterday I saw the Milwaukee Auto Show. It was tremendous. One of the models who was demonstrating an Imperial had a $15,000 dress on! Amor, (Latin) Bob
