The letter, transcribed

Saturday February, 22, 1958 Dear Bob Thank you for the long letter. It was great! How about some more? So glad you like your new hunting grounds. Still hope you get to see Tony someday soon. Thanks again for the valentine. It was the cutest & nicest one I have received for a long time. Excuse me for being so forgetful & not sending you one. What do you mean by a few necessary things to liven it up? (This is concerning our discussion about parties.) Well, what do you mean? Don't forget to take another picture of yourself and send it to me. Did I ever send you my picture? If I did it's a wonder it didn't scare you from writing to me! Wow, three sisters, and all younger. I have only 1 and its terrible! I also have a brother. There are eight of us in the family. Thanks for saying O.K. about writing to Bill. Of course I'm keeping them all on the newsy side. Right now we have about 20 inches of snow all drifted everywhere. Its terrible for snowballs but pretty good for toboggans & skis. Do you ski? I sure wish I could. Dad is buy me some skis & ski boots, thought, so I'm determined to learn. You should take French, it's great. Easy too. Next year I intend to take French II & Latin I, besides my other required subjects. Is Whitefish Bay bigger than Andover or don't you remember Andover too well? I can't Geri's cousin's name but will find out & let you know. My telephone number is 1752 in Andover, if you want to know. Now, tell me this. You said quote "When my civics teach found your letter it was a riot. She gave me a lecture on - - - - & how - unquote. What did she give you a lecture on? Huh? Did she say anything to Bill Zech? My father is taking me to the big Boat Show that is in Boston next week. Do you have vacation next week? We do, but the teachers have given us enough homework to keep us busy. Well, be good & write to me soon. Love ya lots, Fran
